Why I quit Facebook
"I knew that at heart, Facebook was about editing myself, presenting a perfect, beautiful person to the world while omitting all the dark, difficult bits, the poetics that, at their core, made me who I was."

Facebook is like a photo album, snap shots here and there of where you are in any given moment. If all that is collected are the beautiful aspects, fine. If you want to show the dark and difficult, do so.

Grand National - Drink To Moving On

Moved on to clear the air,
Just to be alone,
We're perfect on our own,
Settle down,
Try not to clean it up,
I'm ready in my time,
I'm here i'm doing fine,
Settle down my friend.

Stepped on my toes and let me down,
Been sending messages around,
Not quite ready now.

No need to bottle up,
It's over and it's done,
Let's drink to moving on.
Settle down my friend.
Settle down my friend.

Stepped on my toes and let me down,
Been sending messages around,
Not quite ready now.

You have not known what you are,
You have slumber'd upon yourself all your life,
Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,
What you have done returns already in mockeries,
The mockeries are not you,
Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,
"We are game-playing, fun-having creatures, we are the otters of the universe. We cannot die, we cannot hurt ourselves any more than illusions on the screen can be hurt." - Richard Bach: Illusions

On the other side of the same coin, there are some really great Facebook accounts and pages if you are looking for real meaning, inspiration or "enlightenment". I suppose it depends on your filter.
Just living is not enough, one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower~
