I have been writing a paper all day, its a final paper for an important class for my degree. It was a review of a paper that I presented in my final presentation for the class. It was very challenging, a lot of chemistry which occasionally eludes me. Stressful Then the power went out, I could no longer work on anything but getting a cup of coffee and feeding the fam breakfast. So out to the backyard we went to our smoker. All the wood was covered in a one inch coating of ice, and it was raining...and cold. The wood appeared to be uselessly soaked. We persevered, managed to get a blazing fire going, boiled up some water, got the old french press out of mothballs and had amazing coffee while we brought down the cast iron skillet, and commenced to cooking some amazing vittles. I was a little sad when the electricity came back on. I was impressed by our attitude of not sitting in the house all cold and scared, just spark up the cooker and lets GO!
I liked the very proactive nature of our actions. We could have sat in the house and had cold muffins, and danish which would have been fine for some, or we could have done what we did and had a nice hot meal no matter what the conditions, which is fine too. To me one is better than the other, but to someone else it could be backwards...which is really right? What we did. Only because we did it. Thats it. There are no immutable truths for everyone, just me. The rub comes when someone tries to convince me that it is NOT right...hm, I wonder if that isnt the whole deal? Right Wrong Hard Easy....Me You all one and all none LMAO! that just tickled me. Senseful ramblings on an icy day
Bueno. However, I'm glad you have the ice and I have 75 degrees.
Is that so?

New free thought:

Over at RS a question was asked about acquired taste in the context of the spiritual thang...What came up for me free typing Acquired taste: the taste of weakness, then the discipline to make it my strength. I like that its a keepah...

I feel that I have broken through some weird barrier and didnt even realize it till chat today. With the non-dualistic thing comes this feeling of deep confusion, doubt, and a little bit of anxiety that this is all for naught. The leaden feeling that something is not quite as it appears and the unsettled knowledge that everything may not be what it appears to be. I realized today that I am much less fearful. More willling to be genuine, and somehow I dunno....stronger? More centered? Less chaotic? But its very subtle and I didnt realize it till today...HEY MALCOLM...thanks ya bastid. you were correct all IS well :sal

The snow brings out the philosopher in me I guess,

I am not searching for what the ones who have gone before have searched for, I dont know for what I seek, but I am willing to accept what I find, or what finds me.

Title: Eagles - Get Over It lyrics

Artist: Eagles Lyrics

I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin dont blame me
They point their crooked little fingers ar everybody else
Spend all their time feelin sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your mommas too thin; your daddys too fat
OI! thats just it isnt it?

Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin and cryin and pitchin a fit
Get over it, get over it

You say you havent been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if I gave you some cash
The more I think about it, old billy was right
Lets kill all the lawyers, kill em tonight
You dont want to work, you want to live like a king
But the big, bad world doesnt owe you a thing
Wouldnt it be nice if we all remembered that?
Get over it
Get over it
If you dont want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, get over it

Its like going to confession every time I hear you speak
Youre makin the most of your losin streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak
attempting to draw your energy level to theirs...how do we find ourselves in this situation? By that I mean trying to drag out as much pity as possible from a situation...how does that help?

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
This is a most effective manipulator of energy (others)
Id like to find your inner child and kick its little ass nice one!

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin and moanin and pitchin a fit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it
Get over it
Its gotta stop sometime, so why dont you quit
Get over it, get over it

I have no idea what brought me to this song...wasnt even in my head, the phrase find your inner child and kick its little ass just flew into my head and I went with it...dunno, maybe it will be clearer later. Just thought I would leave it here for now. ~D
