Current stuff

Lately I've been passing through some other forums associated in one way or another with Carlos Castaneda, Nagualism, and sorcery. This has included some other chat rooms. What I have discovered is that in one case I'm a troll, in another I'm affected and controlled by a flyer, and my thoughts and actions, those disruptive and not in accord with beliefs, are the result of being infected by The Foreign Installation.

I'm fucked.

I'll freely admit I enjoy combat, verbal jousting, and the creation of drama for the sake of drama. (I don't have the nickname Gonzo for no reason.) The most enjoyable or perhaps I should say, the most responsive folk who respond are inevitably the ones who not only take themselves seriously, they also take their beliefs seriously. However, they can dismiss my antics, as above.

Lately, I've gotten redirected to Robert Monroe. Affinity mentioned in chat that in one interview (which I have as yet to find) Monroe gets up and exits the room, and when he does so, has an expression of sort of a "gotcha", according to Aff. I hope I can find the link to that video.

In the meantime, there is some truly astounding stuff to be found in his talks, perhaps the most in #4 of a 7 part series, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPDgcTHxKhU&feature=related, especially around the 6 minute mark when he says, "It doesn't matter what you do here...you will go on after death", and by that he says further, you can be a saint or the cruellest person imaginable...it doesn't matter. I've had that notion for a long time, and finally, someone else, with creds, has said the same thing, and more.

At around 8 minutes he says, "You come to this earth as an alien life form...you don't belong here..." Bingo...another long held notion, that WE are the IOB's, momentarily experiencing being in human form.

In the next clip, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCny04KpnJg&NR=1 at around 6 minutes he says he was bored. Oh my. In a recent chat on the aforementioned other forum, I said exactly the same thing. I was told the reason I was bored was because of a variety of things, namely, I was self-important, I had not fully recapitulated, I did not know how to still the inner dialog, I was living an indulgent and lazy life, without meditation. All true, I'm afraid.

Thanks to Aff for redirecting me once again to Robert Monroe. I may even have to dig out my hemi-sync recording and see about proving some of these notions for myself. But then, on the other hand, the beer is cold and I'm sure there's a car race or a golf tournament that needs watching.

I recently made the statement on another forum that I would like to see more meatier discussions. I dont need conflict (I know you appreciate it lol), but I do like knowledge, and Im not a big person on reading swiped posts and viewing youtubes all day. I like to participate in thoughful discussions which may be able to bolster my own knowledge, which may give me decent food for thought. But I was complaining, that isnt always taken very well to complain; however, I feel I had value in giving my grievances.

I think in terms of evolution and forums and the way that they can go, they can be a breadth of knowledge when folks are willing to open up, and not hold back. However, admittedly not all know how to 'hang' in a discussion; and when it resorts to say, just personal attacks and the like, the origional topic becomes lost, and that really flies stuff south. So I can appreciate say, private places which do try to prevent discussions from going that way. It can and does ruin them. I have seen good forums literally destroyed, and obeying the laws of energy, energy just changing over into the foul toxic sludge and even one bad apple can spoil the bunch.

Personally I dont believe you do that. You can however, rub people the wrong way. Of course Gurdjieff would've paid you to keep you in a group just to keep other folks in line, so they could learn about their own reactions and self-importance. You cant always expect people to be nicey-nice in a world which is quite a bit of chaos-order, each pushing on the other. Its both, IMO. Where chaos is order is sure to follow, and visa versa.

Here's part one in the nine part series I was talking about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSBM7Qeo5bg

It's at the end of part nine that Monroe gives that look to the camera.

Reading Monroe's "Ultimate Journey." (Thanks Gonz, for the book.)

Pretty trippy.

It's assisted me in some of my recall of my own experiences...as well as it's nice to see someone else with similiar experiences.

Aff, I hear you are the one who brought Monroe back up.

Thank you.

I think there's two different series...maybe this is the one you meant, titled something like Mondays with Bob Monroe
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V96Ty5L2jMM&feature=related

The other 9 parter is him seated and talking, but not in front of an audience and he doesn't get up and walk out in the 9th one.

Even so, what's relevant is what he has explored and reported on.

..and reading on with Monroe, comes back a statement from another source:

"The goal of the organism is survival: the goal of the essence is ecstasy."

"The goal of the organism is survival: the goal of the essence is ecstasy."

the organism and the essence are one in the same integrated into a whole.

Not according to Monroe and others, if you equate the dreaming body and/or the energetic body with the essence. In my experience, in dreaming, I'm not in the body, and the goal remains, for me, to do explorations similar to Monroe's.

Here's a little Monroe to wet your whistle
There is no beginning, there is no end,
There is only change.
There is no teacher, there is no student,
There is only remembering.
There is no good, there is no evil,
There is only expression.
There is no union, there is no sharing,
There is only one.
There is no joy, there is no sadness,
There is only love.
There is no greater, there is no lesser,
There is only balance.
There is no stasis, there is no entropy,
There is only motion.
There is no wakefulness, there is no sleep,
There is only being.
There is no limit, there is no chance,
There is only a plan.

The more I read Monroe's "Ultimate Journey", the more I'm reminded of the information provided in "Messages from Michael" - there is an amazing correlation.

Tell us what you've found that resonate.

I've found Monroe's work astounding, as well as many suspicions I've had OOB that's he's confirmed.

Good stuff.

Several things resonate. First, that we survive the death of the physical body. Second, that we create our own afterlife. Third, and most relevant, that we are an aspect or a part of a larger collection of personalities that comprise a whole.

There's more, but those are the major aspects.
