Consistency

Som thoughts from yesterday's journaling
... there is not consistently any one thing prevailing in my life...constantly swing from one position to another...I appreciate the nagual, but I'm seldom in tune with it...I love the dark power, but it isn't always there...there are constant bouts with failure of one form or another, upsetting dreams, followed by great fun, lucidity and flying...there are periods of too much concern followed by periods of blissful unconcern. Constancy? none whatever.

I think lately it's a fantasy to believe someone achieves a certain state and then holds it, thinking here of Jed McKenna - at least in his books he seems, like don Juan, to be ON, consistently, and constantly, regardless the circumstances. Might work for them...sure as hell doesn't work for me.

Have you looked at Why it works for some and not for you??

How, what, when, where, why? (Have you answered these?)

None if us have met don Juan or Jed McKenna whom you mention.

The closest I can relate to this "ON-ness" you mention is Curtis and Chinn Sensei; they may have chosen a different vehicle to get there, but the results are the same and quite impressive.

As I keep whittling away it's becomming clearer and clearer.

You get out it what you put into it. What is "it?" Slicing away the self.

What are you doing Gonz to achieve this "ON-ness?"

What are you going to do?

K

Well, that's just it...I'm not really interested in achieving consistent ON-ness, or ONE-ness.

Thanks...

...at least you're honest about it.

Why do we seek mediocrity? Why do we think a state of "on-ness" is superior to what we have now? Why do we strive to be what we are not, and not to be what we are? Kill it all! Silly humans!

Silly humans...indeed....I'm thinking of a scene from some movie, where a woman fakes an orgasm in a restaurant, and a woman sitting at the counter says, "I'll have what she's having."
