What matter is there?

I was asked yesterday in chat what means I would prefer to leave. My initial thought had to do with potentially leaving Texas, but what was meant was leaving this planet. I said I rather admired Hemingway and Hunter Thompson, but if I truly had the ability, the preferred would be intentional, as this OZF (Old Zen Fart) did.

Before his death, he said to his disciples, "Grasping emptiness and pursuing echoes wearies your mind and spirit. When awakened from a dream, you realize it was false; after all, what matter is there?"

When he finished speaking, he died, sitting at rest.
Is that so?
