Attending a demonstration like this years ago - A participant cut off his thumb. Didn't miss a beat, retrieved his thumb after he completed his kata. That's focus.

Awesome stuff...I especially liked the flute music throughout. Damned sharp swords...

Wow. Very cool film of a very cool event. The part that jumped out at me, was the fellow with the flat-topped hairdo, midway through the film, who draws his sword, strikes once, flips the sword quickly, then returns it to its scabbard, all without breaking his forward gaze or even blinking! Very feirce.
