Consider the aquifer
The sand knows not its role
The water cares not of its purity

I think The Tao uses water as a primary symbol and rather constant analogy. Water is so taken for granted it's amazing. It's the only substance which expands when frozen, instead of contracting. It's the worlds most used solvent...and blah blah blah. Most amazing of all, it is comprised of two gases.

Another miraculous thing is rain....tons and tons of water come from uh, the air? What magic...
Is that so?
