Similar species: The inner edges of the cellspot and the spot in space 2 FW are aligned, unlike E. hirtius.

Uncommon(?) at 1050 m., probably lower. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: VHW lacks white band shown by E. metallescens. FW spot in space 3 not overlapped by the spot in space 2, unlike E. caunus and E. auginus (I have no Cusco records of either).
