Thespieus tihoneta tihoneta
Uncommon at 1800 m., probably higher and lower. Attracted to spitwads and bait.
Similar species: T. opigena has white fringe at HW tornus.
Thespieus opigena
Uncommon 1050-1350(higher?) m. Attracted to bait; occasionally visits flowers.
Similar species: T. tihoneta tihoneta has orange fringe at HW tornus. T. aspernatus has white markings around cell VHW and blue on body.
Thespieus dalman
Uncommon at 1050 m., probably lower. Attracted to bait and mud.
Similar species: In T. fulvangula, the dark area VFW apex extends basally from apical spots.
Thespieus aspernatus
Fairly common 1050(lower?)-1100 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: T. opigena lacks the white markings around VHW cell and doesn't have blue on body.
Thespieus fulvangula
Uncommon 1000-1100 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: T. dalman has dark area VFW apex only beyond apical spots.
