I think it would be easier to put each species separate, since I now got the impression that photos of a single species are posted in various topics and each topic containing various species... Anyway, with my limited knowledge of the Surinamese fauna I think I may be able to give you some hints as where to look.

The blue one (3rd photo): Nymphidium sp. (Riodinidae)

Regards,

Scarabaeoid

Thanks Scarabaeoid,
Recall I hoped to look for some moths while I was in Guyana? Well, turns out that every single one of the lodges I stayed at had generator supplied electicity and as such this was turned off overnight - thus, no moth-lights!! I'll see whether I can resolve this issue when I return (I hope) in 2015!

In the meanwhile, thanks for the pointers re my posts.

Paul

I searched the Nymphidium in Butterflies of America and sure enough, Scarabaeoid, it turns out that the blue butterfly is N. mantus. Thanks - this was photod just south of IwokramaField Centre.

You may want to consider visiting Suriname instead. Getting permits for collecting is a bureaucratic hell, but there sure are some goodies to be photographed. Picture was taken July 2013 at my light collecting installation. Lamps are powered by my small portable generator which leaves me independent from external sources. I like to rent myself, my knowledge and my equipment to tourists, but when transport, lodging and preferably food are provided and I like the destination, my rates may drop very drastically.

Best regards,

Scarabaeoid
